Library materials ordered from LINK+ are free, but there are fees associated with the system if you return items late or lose an item.
Online items [electronic resources] in LINK+ catalog:
Online materials (ebooks) appearing in the Link+ Catalog are only available to patrons from the owning location. Alliant patrons do not have access to these materials.
How long can I check out LINK+ items?
The loan periods:
The date due will be stamped on a book band or label on the item. It is very important that you do not remove the band or label from the LINK+ item. All items must be returned after 6 weeks (3 week original checkout and 3 week renewal). No further extensions are possible.
How do I renew an item?
Renew an item by logging into My Library Account or by contacting your campus library. Link+ items can only be renewed once. After that items must be returned. No additional renewals are allowed by the LINK+ system.
To Renew item(s):
Renewing too soon message?
If you try to renew your books too soon, you will get a message saying it is not possible to renew at this time. It is recommended you renew around the time you receive a due date courtesy notice (3 days before due date). Renewal date will be 21 days from the date you renew and not 21 days from the original due date.
Renewal Limits
If the item can’t be renewed you must return it to your campus library or any “Pickup anywhere” location as soon as possible. The overdue fine for items returned after the due date is $1.00 per day, per item. Please pay your fines at your home library as soon as possible.
