Using Library/Computer Lab Computers

Registered students, staff & faculty members need a User Account to log on to the networked computers in the Library and Computer Lab. The Irvine campus also have wireless. Please contact Ali Razavi in Room 311 if you have problems with your user account or student computers.

Printing and copying is available from the Library/Lab computers. The cost is $0.10/page for black & white, or $0.40/page for color. You can print by putting money on your student ID card, or blank media cards are available for purchase for $1.00.

The Information Resource Center (IRC) is your gateway to the Alliant Library at Irvine. It houses a collection of books and other materials focusing on the subjects of clinical and forensics psychology, family therapy, education and multiculturalism. You also have access to the university's entire collection of print and electronic resources. at the IRC, you'll also find computer stations, printing, and study space available for student use.

A current Alliant Identification card (I.D. card) with 14-digit library barcode is recommended to check out items. See Ali Razavi in Room 311 to pick up your card. Once you have your ID card please stop by the library to activate your account or fill out the account activation form on the library’s home page.

Overdue Fees:

Books, dissertations, video/audio: $.50/day

LINK+ Books: $1.00/day

Reference/Reserve: $.50/day

Psychological Tests: $10.00/day

***Waiver of late fees will not be granted except in emergency situations.  Registration may be affected if library fees are not handled promptly.***

Renewals:

All items with the exception of tests and reference/reserve items may be renewed by phone or online at “My Library Account” on the Library’s web page. Psychological tests, reference/reserve items and audiovisual materials must be renewed in person. Materials that have already been renewed 2 times or have been requested by another patron cannot be renewed.

Lost or Damaged Items:

The charge for Alliant materials that are lost or damaged is equal to the replacement cost plus a $15.00 processing fee per item.  The charge for lost or damaged LINK+ items is $115.00 per item.
